Minux® S700 Semi-Automatic Rotary Microtome
Mainly used by clinical and biological research institutions for paraffin section, to observe the morphology and structure of normal cells of plants and animals, to judge the morphological changes of cellular tissues.
As stability is critical during sectioning to prevent undulations, also known as washboarding in the paraffin sections, vibration should be reduced to the minimum during microtomy. As a result, histology equipment manufacturers usually design heavy microtomes weighing 40 to 60 pounds. To keep a microtome cutting optimally for many years, daily cleaning from paraffin debris and yearly preventive maintenance are highly recommended.
